If Alaska wont reach the Finals, hands down choice will be Gabe Freeman. I know he missed two games in the elims but I think total number of games will not be a factor but an efficiency percentage in every games he played. TNT and SMB went directly to the semis that means Freeman and Daniels will have lesser games than the imports of teams playing from the wildcard to the semis. I think to be the best import, you have the capability to bring your team all the way to Finals and eventually to the championship.

This is how I'd attempt to answer your question:
This is a little tricky. Some say Chris Porter was allowed to play because there was no height limit for imports in 2005. While it may be true, the PBA went back to having height limits in 2006. And records show Porter was measured to be well within the limit of 6'6" for that conference.

So, were there confirmed reports about Chris Porter's recent re measurement? I think none. Because if there were, hindi ko alam kung kanino ako maniniwala. :-)

freeman maybe more exciting and energetic than simpson but there's so many dept in simpson's game that he has a big lead to bag this award. so i think simpson have and edge in this battle.

its a toss-up between simpson and freeman,if smb can reach finals and alaska can't then it would be freeman,but if both alaska ang smb go to the finals it will be simpson...

I'll pick Gabe Freeman. NO DOUBT. Ngayon pa na isang panalo na lang kelangan nila at nasa finals na uli ang team nya. Malaking factor din na madala mo ang team mo sa finals magchampion man kayo o hindi. Of course pag manalo ang aces against tnt for sure may laban din si simpson for the best import. Pero naka focus pa din ang attention ke gabe kc he was the best import last year.

Talagang malaking factor yun knowing the real reason why this import is out for 2 games. It maybe true or not but the thing is that so-called drug issue will certainly affect him. Anyway, my bet is no other than Diamon Simpson he is a true leader and he proved it by carrying Alaska team in the final four. This guy really impressed us by showing great character as a player and as an import. Alaska team really found a gem in him!
