Re: Former Shell Players
Shell Philippines came to the PBA in 1975, acquiring the franchise of the fabled Crispa Redmanizers in 1985. Shell, which carried the product Azodrin and the moniker Bug Busters in its rookie season, brought in former Crispa Redmanizers led by three-time Most Valuable Player Bogs Adornado, Philip Cezar and Bernard Fabiosa to name a few as well as Bai Cristobal.
The team also tapped veterans Rey Lazaro and Melchor "Biboy Ravanes and included rookies Sonny Cabatu, Leo Austria and Romeo Ang among others. Coach of the team was Freddie Webb.
In its very first year, the Bug Busters went all the way to the finals of the All-Filipino but lost to the mighty Great Taste squad, which became the last team to win back-to-back All-Filipino titles.
The following years saw the inclusion of other superstars, among them Arnie Tuadles, who was a key figure in the Turbochargers' 1990 championship -- the franchise's first-ever -- highlighted by Anejo's controversial walkout.
Then came Benjie Paras, and Ronnie Magsanoc, who eventually became part of the 25 Greatest Players of the PBA and won several titles for the Turbochargers.
These were some of the few great players who suited up for the Turbochargers

natantandaan ko si Paras dahil sa 2nd MVP nya, si Magsanoc dahil sa manner on how he shoots FT, hehe.. si Ritchie Ticson dahil sa looks nya, hehe.. (seriously, both Ronnie and Ritchie are good shooters even better as PG)!, si Rich Alvarez on his "supposedly first game" in his rookie year sa opening game, at si Kenny Redfield na one of the PBA imports na hanga ako.
