Veteran cagers who wish to play in the Philippine Basketball League (PBL) will have until this Wednesday to submit their application for drafting in the league's season-ending tournament.
The PBL recently relaxed its age requirement where each team can now field a maximum of three players between 26 to 28 years old.
Executive director Butch Maniego said that these players could be either be ex-pros from the Philippine Basketball Association or the ASEAN Basketball League, veterans of the PBL, Liga Pilipinas and other local leagues.
Interested applicants can submit their names on or before April 14 by faxing a letter to the PBL office at tel. no 533-3556 or through e-mail at 2010pblveterans@gmail.com.
The league is also encouraging practice players of the PBA to join the draft.
Teams can directly hire five players from Visayas and Mindanao, provided that they have not played for a collegiate league based in Metro Manila and are under 26 years old.
