Dylan Ababou and John Wilson, winners of the Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards in the UAAP and NCAA, respectively, lead the Collegiate Mythical Five Selection when the UAAP-NCAA Press Corps and Smart Sports present the 2009 Collegiate Basketball Dinner-Awards Party on Sunday at Kamayan-EDSA.

Ababou and Wilson will be joined by Ateneo's Rabeh Al-Hussaini, San Sebastian's Jimbo Aquino and San Beda's Sudan Daniel in the elite club.

These five players will share the spotlight with Ateneo's Norman Black and San Sebastian's Ato Agustin in a special night that will honor the top achievers from both the UAAP and the NCAA.

Black and Agustin were named as the UAAP and NCAA Coach of the Year, respectively, for guiding their teams to the championship this season.

Ababou led the UAAP in scoring with an average of 18.9 points and guided the UST Growling Tigers to the Final Four while Wilson became the NCAA's MVP for his rise as one of the league's offensive gems.

Al-Hussaini and Aquino, who helped power the Blue Eagles and Stags, to the championships, were named Finals MVP of their respective leagues.

The 6-foot-8 Daniel, an American recruit out of Los Angeles, turned out to be an extraordinary rookie as he inherited the job of Nigerian Sam Ekwe to lead the Red Lions to their fourth straight finals appearance.
