Props to the TS for the statistics. Its surprising to see James Yap leapfrog from outside the Top 10 to No.4 in the statistical derby. Despite his shooting woes, he was able to improve on his numbers and that is due to an increase in rebounds and assists. IMHO, he has the best chance of winning the season MVP with a championship in hand. Santos, Lassiter and Cabagnot are also in the thick of the fight. If Petron manages to defend their title, I'm curious who will stand out among the 3. I expect Santos and Lassiter's numbers to dip a bit with playing time competition from Washington, Lutz, Yeo and their import. David and Caguioa are darkhorse candidates. David's chances hinge on the ability of his team to win and if Powerade bombs out early, the no.1 ranking in SPs will just go down the drain. Caguioa's chances depends on an early return and BGK's performance next conference.

my MVP contenders:
David - if powerade can make 1 more cinderalla run this Gov's cup
J. Yap - if he can lead b-meg again and continue to contribute in all the stats
CAguioa- early return and a championship for BGK
Castro- another great performance and a championship for TnT
i think this will be the downside for Lassiter and SAntos, they will now have to share some minutes together with Lutz, J. Washa and their import. Their team could be strong, but they have to sacrifice their minutes and stats.

Yung ginagawa ni James ngayon nakakataas talaga ng Stat, biruin mo kahit bumaba point production nya tumaas naman assist at rebound! photo finish na naman for MVP to! sino kaya mananalo?

sa tingin ko po, at kung consistent lang si JAMES YAP sa stats niya, hindi lang sa scoring but sa assist at rebounding.. Tiyak na makuha niya 3rd MVP niya.. d kailangan umiscore ng malaki, importante makatulong sa lahat ng department tsaka sana magchampion ulit...
