Ogie Menor was nowhere in sight when Meralco import Mario West rushed to the Air 21 locker to see him.

The Express wingman found out that West was on his way, and made his exit out of the SMART-Araneta Coliseum to avoid a confrontation.

“Umiwas na lang ako,” Menor told InterAKTV in a telephone interview shortly after the incident.

Menor had been ejected from the game for a flagrant foul penalty two against West wherein he hit the NBA veteran on the head, leading to a hard fall.

When West picked himself up, he tried to confront Menor, but was restrained by Bolts teammates.

Menor walked away from the scene before being ejected. He says the call surprised him.

“I was after the ball, kita naman sa slo-mo na ang intension ko talaga nasa bola, focus ako doon sa bola,” he said.

The former San Beda stalwart believes the referees have their eye on him.
