Manila - UAAP member-schools clash on the hardcourt anew as they vie for top honors in the Milo 3-on-3 Warrior Championship starting today (Tuesday) at the Ateneo Blue Eagle gym.
Despite La Salle’s absence, the seven-team competition remains a potent crowd-drawer as Season 72 bottom-feeders UP, Adamson and NU parade their highly touted recruits expected to boost their respective campaigns next season.
The Maroons, Season 72 giant-killers, try to dominate the paint with the inception of 6”8’ center Alinko in the lineup which also include rookie forward Carlo Gomez and combo guard Mark Lopez.
Adamson hopes to end its run of misfortunes this year when veterans Jan Colina and Alex Nuyles don the Falcons’ jersey alongside 6”6’ prized find Lionel Manraya.
Meanwhile, the Cameroonian duo of Emmanuel Mbe and Joseph Nlepe Nlepe reinforce a crack NU frontline backstopped by three-point artist Kokoy Hermosisima.
Defending UAAP champion Ateneo will lean on Team B mainstays John Paul Erram, Normn Penola and Jayvee Dumrique to banner the Eagles’ cause while UE plunges into action with Ken Acibar, Raphy Reyes, and incoming Warrior Adrian Santos on tow.
UST will bank on Season 72 Rookie of the Year Jeric Teng, Chris Camus and Jeric Fortuna while RR Garcia, Riel Cervantes and Paul Sanga represent the FEU contingent.
